Opel has released pictures of the new Corsa, which will make its debut in July at the British Motor Show. Sharing its platform with the Fiat Grande Punto, styling is closer to the larger Astra with dynamic cab-forward proportions. Aided by the strong chin, an additional pane in the side-glass also enables a more forward-reaching profile - as chief designer Niels Loeb said "this is just what we wanted the coupe-like three-door Corsa to be."
Inside, the IP neatly evolves themes from the outgoing model, with cues also shared with the new Antara SUV.

Citroen has announced its most powerful engine in a production car – the new, expanded 3.0-litre HDI turbodiesel. It's the PSA-Jaguar Land Rover developed engine, previously available as a 2.7.The new 3.0 HDI will be fitted to the C5 and C6 in late summer 2009, replacing the 2.7. It produces 237bhp, up from 205bhp in the 2.7, yet fuel economy and CO2 both improve by around 15%.What's new on Citroen's 3.0-litre V6 HDI?The V6 gets a third generation common-rail injection system, a diesel particulate filter system and an alternator that recovers energy during braking.Both C5 and C6 3.0 HDI V6 models average 38mpg and emit 195g/km of CO2.The V6 turbodiesel was jointly developed by Ford (when it owned Jaguar Land Rover) and PSA Peugeot Citroen and is built in the Blue Oval's Dagenham, UK, diesel facility.
Jaguar has pulled a surprise with the reveal of a more focused, and expensive, XKR ahead of the New York Auto Show – the Jaguar XKR-S GT. The XKR-S GT doesn’t get extra power – the XKR-S already has 542bhp – but it does get lots of tweaks to make it more able to use the performance it has. That means a new bonnet with more vents to improve cooling, a new carbon fibre front splitter, new rear diffuser, an aluminium undertray at the front, a whopping great spoiler at the back and bits of carbon fibre floating around.
